Overview
NeuroFairy is an ADHD-aware executive functioning agent that is currently in Stage 1 of development. It is described as a "pixlated local AI tool" that runs on the user's machine and is designed to help with tasks, focus, calendar, and notes. The project is inspired by researched executive functioning techniques such as body doubling, pomodoro timers, and brain dumping. The current tech stack includes Python 3, SQLite, CSS for the frontend, Ollama with the Qwen2.5:3 model, Langchain, and FastMCP. The runtime architecture consists of a browser interface built with HTML and JavaScript, a Python application using FastAPI, and a local AI component powered by LangChain and Ollama. The browser interface handles tasks, quests, focus, and charms, and communicates with the Python backend via a POST request to /api/chat. The AI model generates replies that are sent back to the user interface.
