Overview
OpenCode Telegram Gateway is a multi-provider OpenAI-compatible Telegram gateway built with Node.js. It runs from a plain user account using only Node's built-in tooling, with no root required. The gateway supports any OpenAI-compatible endpoint through five authentication modes: header, xheader, query, body, and none. It includes conversation sessions scoped in SQLite, vision support for image attachments, and streaming via Telegram edit-in-place. An agent harness provides tool-calling with file, bash, and GitHub tools, plus live-status updates and inline-keyboard approvals. The system also features a proxy pool that auto-fetches public proxies from approximately 20 sources at startup, rotates per-chat, tracks per-proxy health, and auto-refreshes every N hours. State is stored in a single-file SQLite database with WAL mode, covering users, messages, usage, sessions, and proxies. Additional capabilities include long-term memory with FTS5 BM25 ranking, an MCP client for connecting to Model Context Protocol servers, a GitHub account manager, per-user stats, webhook mode, admin channel-gating, and a CLI setup wizard.
