Overview
Shadow is an AI interface for Mac that sees, hears, and runs Skills. It captures what a user says, hears, and sees, then runs the user's own prompts. It supports meeting notes, voice typing, quick replies, and other outputs. During meetings, Shadow auto-starts and ends with the call, transcribes every word, and detects meeting screens to capture screenshots. It operates in the background without joining as a bot. Autopilot mode detects meetings, records discussions, and structures key takeaways. Speaker identification labels speakers in real time. Meeting Skills are editable prompts that can produce meeting notes, BANT breakdowns, action items, follow-up emails, or customer feedback summaries. For actions, a keyboard shortcut can be pressed on any screen; Shadow sees what is there, hears what the user says, and runs the Skill, pasting it into the app or showing it where the user is looking. Voice input allows giving instructions by talking, which the site says is 4× faster than typing. Outputs can be sent to tools such as Zapier, n8n, and Make via webhook, or saved as Markdown files. include keeping data on the Mac and out of model training by default. Transcription happens on the Mac, audio never leaves the device, and meetings are stored locally. Skills hit LLM APIs only when triggered.
