Open RAZStudio Room is an open-source camera-RAW photo processing app for Android, described as the free edition of RAZStudio Room. Unlike filter-first mobile editors, it is built around image reconstruction and photographer control. The app can be read, built, installed, and run fully offline.

The RAW engine includes hybrid dual-demosaic reconstruction, detail-preserving high-bit-depth development, advanced highlight recovery, and multi-stage RAW rendering. Advanced optical corrections use a camera and lens profile database covering a large set of combinations, with distortion correction, perspective-aware vignetting, chromatic aberration correction, and profile-based optical compensation. The color engine provides color wheels, RGB curves, HSL, split toning, and precision shadow/highlight and tone controls.

AI-assisted local adjustments include subject detection, multi-layer non-destructive masks, selective local adjustments, and a portrait-aware editing foundation. Optional on-device models for subject, denoise, heal, auto-exposure, and low-light turn themselves off if a file is missing. GPU-accelerated rendering uses OpenGL live preview and GPU-assisted grading, high-resolution RAW previews, and accelerated export on the modern Android graphics stack. Creative tools include depth-aware bokeh, bloom, and vintage styling.

The FOSS edition omits premium-only features such as RAW LUT and LUT Adj, Gallery Workspace, project import/export, sidecars, Add to Project, Sony/Canon project integration, LUT Creator, and Short Video. Technical specs list version 1.0.1.4-alpha, package com.RAZStudio.StudioRoom, minimum Android 8.0 (API 26), ABI arm64-v8a, JDK/compileSdk 21/37, and no trial or expiry. The technology stack includes Kotlin, Jetpack Compose (Material 3), modular Gradle, Decompose, Hilt, native NDK with LibRaw decode and camera/lens-profile kernels, OpenCV, ONNX Runtime, TensorFlow Lite, Room, and DataStore.
