HarnessDesk

HarnessDesk is a desktop application that serves as a control plane for coding agents. It is designed to work with multiple agents, including Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, and others, without favoring any particular agent. The app centralizes context, policy, history, cost, and evidence in one place, regardless of which agent performs the work. It supports agents that run natively, over verified bridges, or via the Agent Communication Protocol (ACP).

The application provides a unified dashboard for monitoring usage and costs across different plans. It reads data from each agent's local cache, ensuring that no information is sent externally. The dashboard allows users to pivot the ledger by agent, model, or project, and narrow it to a single account. Additionally, HarnessDesk includes a shared board where multiple agents can collaborate on tasks. Jobs are claimed by agents, and claims that overlap with live ones are refused, preventing conflicts.

HarnessDesk also facilitates hand-offs between agents. When one agent runs dry or needs to switch, the desk packs the goal, changed files, and branch into a hand-off, then stages it in the chosen agent. This allows work to continue seamlessly with context attached. The app is available for macOS, with a developer preview for a small group of users who run multiple coding agents.
