Overview
Emailclaw is a local-first AI agent that uses email as its default interactive entry point and treats email subjects as project boundaries. It receives tasks via IMAP and returns results via SMTP, allowing users to interact with an AI agent through their existing email client. The system creates a new project for each new email subject, binding email threads, session history, and project directories to a TaskId. This design aims to maintain clear contextual boundaries between different pieces of work. Emailclaw is built on AgentScope Java 2.0 and supports extensibility through Java SPI and external JAR plugins. It can run as a Linux headless service with boot startup and Cron automation.
