dshline

dshline is a terminal-native frontend for DeepSeek Harness, an open-source agent harness from DeepSeek. It runs in the same process as Harness and consumes Harness capabilities directly, creating no second agent runtime, no second state layer and no policy of its own. The interface is built around a bordered input line, a status line, and overlays that open over the input line rather than taking over the screen.

Finished output is written once into the terminal's own scroll history and is never rewritten, moved or virtualized, so the terminal emulator owns the scrollback and its search, selection and copy behave as they do for other commands. Only a bounded live region — the reply still arriving, the input line, the status line and any open view — is redrawn in place. dshline never switches the terminal to the alternate screen and never enables a mouse protocol.

The product ships no provider list and no model list of its own; the banner names the workspace and the route the active Harness profile registered. Its connect view offers whatever the mounted adapters declare configurable and runs whatever authorization flows Harness has registered. dshline tracks Harness narrowly, supporting one adopted generation pinned exactly rather than by range.
