Overview
Convolvger is a local-first, provider-independent archival tool for public AI conversations. It takes a public AI conversation share URL, reconstructs the conversation into a canonical internal model, validates the extracted data, and exports it into portable formats such as Markdown and JSON. The tool is installed as a command-line program and requires Python 3.12 or newer. Its commands include providers, bookmarklet, inspect, export, and verify. It can inspect a conversation without saving anything, export it to Markdown or JSON, or parse a saved snapshot with --from-file. It supports public share links from several providers, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Kimi, Qwen, and Claude. For Claude, because the share page cannot be fetched, Convolvger uses a bookmarklet and a local capture listener. Archives record the schema they were written against, and Convolvger never updates itself or checks for a new release.
