comfy-thumbs is a tool that generates product thumbnails and hero frames from a ComfyUI workflow, ensuring that the product's own pixels are preserved exactly. It takes a product photo and a short brief as input and outputs images in various presets, such as a 1000×1500 Pinterest pin, a 1080×1080 square, and a 1080×1920 vertical frame, each accompanied by a provenance file detailing how it was made. The tool never allows the model to generate the product itself; instead, it cuts out the product from the supplied photo, generates only the scene from a backdrop without the product, and then pastes the original product pixels back on top at output resolution. A client-side check verifies that every fully opaque product pixel in the finished image matches the original photo's pixel within a tolerance of one step out of 255; if any pixel differs more, the image is not saved and the render fails. On every render made while building this, the check found a maximum difference of 0, meaning the product pixels in the output are bit-for-bit identical to the photo's.
