How does Sentin decide if a new filing is a conflict?
Sentin compares the mark name, phonetic sound, and visual appearance against yours. If there is meaningful overlap—similar enough that a consumer could confuse them—it sends an alert, and you decide whether to act.
What does the alert actually tell me?
The alert includes the exact filing: the applicant’s name, the mark, the goods and classes it covers, the publication date, and your opposition deadline.
Do I need a lawyer to use Sentin?
No. Sentin tells you when something is worth your attention; you decide whether to monitor, oppose, or ignore. Many users forward the alert to their IP lawyer for advice.
I haven’t filed my trademark yet. Is Sentin useful?
Not yet. Sentin monitors marks you already hold or have applied for. Once your application is published on EUIPO, you can add it; many users set up Sentin the same week they file.
Is Sentin really free to try?
Yes. You can sign up, add your mark, and Sentin watches it for 30 days with everything Solo includes, with no credit card needed. After 30 days watching stops unless you subscribe (€120 a year, or €15 a month), and your account and marks stay.
