xcoder

XCoder is a mobile-first code editor for Android focused on privacy and offline usage. It provides a complete editing experience with syntax highlighting for over 100 languages, LSP integrations, Git-friendly file management, an Alpine Linux terminal via proot, and a local live preview server. The application does not require an account, display ads, or send telemetry.

The editor includes an AI assistant with agents and subagents that can read and analyze projects, create, edit, or delete files, run JavaScript in an isolated sandbox, use a virtual shell with a local snapshot VCS, and spawn read-only subagents for research tasks. Users can bring their own API key or use built-in keyless providers such as Pollinations and DuckDuckGo AI. The AI provider manager supports presets for free and paid services, as well as any OpenAI-compatible endpoint.

The code editor is built on CodeMirror 6 and supports 100+ languages, autocompletion, folding, multi-cursor, quick tools, over 20 editor themes, and customizable fonts. LSP support covers TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, JSON, Tailwind, and more, offering diagnostics, completions, hover, go-to-definition, rename, and formatting. A real Alpine Linux shell via proot with background executors and a Termux-style package manager is included.

File management supports local storage, SD card, SFTP and FTP backends, multi-root workspaces, and powerful search and replace across files. A built-in HTTP server provides live preview in an in-app browser and console. Optional cloud sync via GitHub or Firebase backs up settings and AI chats. The app includes an update checker, a plugin marketplace, and 30 UI languages. All features are free, with an optional Premium tier that removes ads and expands AI limits. The core is 100% offline with no tracking.
