Overview
Voxlery is a local semantic photo search application that allows users to rediscover and relive their photo library using natural language search, face recognition, and story timelines. It is powered by local Vision AI and operates entirely offline, with no cloud dependencies or telemetry. The application runs as a native desktop app (Tauri v2) or as a local web platform (FastAPI). It uses pre-configured AI models such as Moondream2 for visual description, Gemma 4 for story generation, and all-MiniLM-L6-v2 for embeddings. Key features include interactive map view, on-device face recognition, offline reverse geocoding, visual similarity search, and deep EXIF metadata inspection. Voxlery is open-source under the Apache 2.0 License.
