Overview
ShipGuard is an autonomous incident-response agent for software deployment failures. It receives a report such as "production is broken after the latest deployment" and investigates across Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, and Slack. The agent builds an evidence graph, derives a root cause with an auditable confidence score, coordinates the response, and refuses to call the incident resolved until it has observed a passing deploy. The system is designed to be transparent and auditable, with a deterministic scorer that owns confidence and evidence links, and an LLM that writes prose and selects read tools. Safety is enforced through two independent gates: a confidence gate that escalates if the score is below a threshold, and an approval gate that requires human approval for destructive actions. Verification of recovery is deliberately hard to satisfy, requiring a build that ran after the failure with a passing pipeline, a successful deploy stage, and the absence of the original error signature.

Use Cases
- Teams use ShipGuard to reduce log data sent to LLMs by extracting only relevant excerpts within a byte budget.
- Teams use ShipGuard to maintain an auditable trail of incident response actions, including blocked and skipped steps.
