Overview
Shepherdr is a tool that provides a phone-based interface for Herdr, a terminal management system. It allows users to monitor and interact with terminals from a mobile device, showing the status of each terminal as working, blocked, idle, done, or unknown. The tool enables reading terminal output, sending text or keyboard shortcuts, and attaching files while an agent is active in a specific terminal. It also supports workspace management from the phone, such as creating workspaces, adding worktrees, and closing or deleting checkouts. Notifications are sent for significant events like blocked or done states, and trusted sign-in changes, with the ability to tap through to the relevant terminal. Authentication uses passkeys instead of traditional accounts, and the service is designed to be private by default, accessible only over loopback or a tailnet. Shepherdr requires Herdr 0.9.0 or later running locally and the same OS account as Herdr.
