nuphus

Nuphus is a local-first AI collaboration partner for individual users' daily programming, office work, and automation workflows. It runs as an AI Agent on the user's computer, with local and private operation and real desktop execution capabilities; the phone serves as a second screen. It recognizes the screen, operates mouse and keyboard, controls windows, reads and writes files, and schedules the browser, turning LLM reasoning into automation. Data stays on the local machine and the model is selected by the user.

The core engine is built in Rust, and tool calls complete at millisecond level. The design separates serial thinking from parallel execution: a Leader parses goals, plans paths, supervises progress, and summarizes delivery, while internal ExecAgents execute along causal chains and external agents can be scheduled in parallel. Nuphus also compiles natural-language exploration into deterministic workflows: after an agent explores interfaces, processes, and parameters, parameters are solidified and compiled into a deterministic execution sequence that the engine repeats with very low token cost.

Nuphus provides real desktop execution, including GUI control via window, OCR, keyboard and mouse; a built-in programmable browser; programming and project analysis; and multi-agent scheduling. Desktop and mobile share the same session, memory, and state, with real-time event streams over WebSocket, workflow remote control, and execution trace replay. Local-first privacy keeps conversations, memory, and plugins stored locally, and it includes a built-in tools page with 23 processing commands for PDF, image, video, audio, and document tasks.
