Overview
JARVIS is a Windows-first, local-first AI agent platform. Its Agent Hub combines persistent chats and project folders with permission-scoped tools, multi-agent coordination, and governed memory. Agents can research, build, and work with local projects through verified, approval-gated execution rather than only returning chat text. Local models and optional cloud or subscription providers are supported.
Jarvis is described as a personal-agent runtime with separated layers, including Jarvis Core, Private Work Mode, Screen Companion, Companion foundation, Studio foundation, and planned virtual-world control. Core state remains on the machine, with Ollama available for fully local inference. The platform supports automatic model routing, durable memory with provenance and confidence metadata, and bounded autonomy for background work.
It is an alpha platform for supervised workflows, not an OS sandbox, unrestricted administrator, professional security product, or conscious system. Host execution, private files, external accounts, publishing, and desktop control are disabled or approval-gated by default. It is suitable for local experimentation and supervised personal workflows, not yet a turnkey multi-user service, an OS security boundary, or a substitute for professional review in high-stakes domains.
