Overview
h3 studio is a local web studio for h3.c, a native MiniMax-H3 video and audio generation tool for Apple Silicon. It is a Go server with no JavaScript build step and one Go dependency that drives the h3 binary by building CLI arguments, running one-shot or interactive sessions, managing references and anchors, queuing renders, chaining shots, and charting profiling, all within a browser tab and without sending data off the machine. The studio runs only as a helmstudio studio: helmstudio installs it, launches it, provides the directory for sessions, and takes finished takes into a shared library. It requires Apple Silicon Mac hardware with macOS recent enough for Metal 4/TensorOps frameworks, and it uses Metal, MetalPerformanceShaders, MetalPerformanceShadersGraph, and Accelerate. The model is not downloaded or converted by h3 studio; it is pointed at a local checkpoint prepared for h3.c, such as MiniMaxAI/MiniMax-H3 with FL2VA and Ref2VA pipeline directories. Installation can be done through the helmstudio launcher or by running from a checkout with the helm CLI. The studio prints a URL for access, typically http://127.0.0.1:8710, and there is no authentication, so binding to anything but 127.0.0.1 is discouraged.
