Overview
Graphe is an open-source desktop application for pi, described as the desktop for pi and MIT licensed. It is available for macOS on Apple silicon and Intel. The product presents itself as a window for pi that adds sub-agents and plan mode, along with an interface for coding work. It supports connecting multiple model providers and changing the model mid-conversation.
Graphe includes configurable agent guardrails that judge every agent command before it runs, with options to allow, ask, save a checkpoint, or refuse. Contained shell commands use a macOS sandbox, and private checkpoints leave the branch and staging area alone. It also shows cache usage, session cost in the user's currency, estimates before large jobs, and a ceiling that ends a job.
Other features include parallel helpers for review, research, and building; a review with a verdict on pull requests; a real debugger; MCP server support; a browser the agent can drive; project memory; and a canvas for drawing steps. The interface also supports worktrees, branch management, project rules, checks, and hunk-by-hunk change acceptance.
