Overview
FloofClaw is an open source C11 runtime described as the durable control plane underneath agentic work. It is not another agent; it owns the part beneath agents and tools: what happened, what should happen next, and whether work keeps succeeding after a demo. The project is distributed as an ordinary source tree that compiles into one native binary and runs on the user's machine.
A floop defines ordered steps, while agents and actions emit events. A deterministic reducer applies those events to state. The event log is treated as truth, state is a materialized view, runs survive restarts, and any run can be replayed. Every model call leaves a receipt, with prompts, responses, metadata, token use, and decisions stored as numbered artifacts on disk.
FloofClaw treats intelligence as a budget. Plain code gathers facts and enforces invariants, and a model is called when judgment is useful. It does less on purpose: agents and models keep doing the work, while FloofClaw stays accountable for whether that work keeps succeeding. The project is open source under Apache 2.0, and users can run the mock-backed path without an account.
