Overview
Enterprise Agent Platform is an agent platform built like a production service, not a prototype. It drives a task through model and tool calls under a step budget. When a tool is riskier than the deployment allows unattended, the run pauses, checkpoints itself, and waits for a human. Approval is authenticated, recorded, and refused if it comes from the person who requested the work.
Tools are typed and risk-classified locally, including tools sourced from external MCP servers. Every tool carries a risk level, and one deployment-wide threshold decides what runs unattended. Tasks, their audit history and the checkpoint a paused run resumes from are durable in PostgreSQL under optimistic concurrency. The platform includes a FastAPI service, bearer-token auth to Principal, /tasks API, AgentRunner, risk gate, ToolRegistry, provider-neutral LLMClient, and TaskRepository.
A provider-neutral LLM port has a real Anthropic / Bedrock adapter behind it. The project reports 291 tests, no API key and no network. Limitations are stated: runs are synchronous and in-process; authentication is static bearer tokens issued by configuration; there is no evaluation harness; observability is structured logs, not traces.

Use Cases
- Teams use Enterprise Agent Platform to run agent tasks through model and tool calls under a step budget.
- Teams use it to pause a run and resume it after human approval.
- Teams use it to adapt tools from external MCP servers into the platform's typed tool layer.
- Teams use it to persist tasks, audit history, and run checkpoints in PostgreSQL.
- Teams use it to prevent two racing approvals from releasing the same critical call.
- Teams use it to run a provider-neutral LLM port with an Anthropic / Bedrock adapter.
- Teams use it to start the API and PostgreSQL with one command.
- Teams use it to test offline without an API key or network.
