Overview
Didi (godot-mcp-native) is a native Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Godot 4.5+, implemented in C++20 as a standalone executable and an in-engine GDExtension library. It provides a local bridge between MCP clients and the Godot editor, using a named pipe or Unix socket for communication. The current documented release is 2.0.1, and the project follows semantic versioning. The server registers 120 canonical tools plus 10 legacy names, with 117 canonical tools implemented and 3 registered but unimplemented. It supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, with platform-specific release archives. Didi aims to offer direct access to live editor state, undo/redo safety, and visual inspection capabilities.
