Overview

DataPallas is an open-source, self-hosted platform for data exploration, reporting, dashboards, and analytics. It connects to databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, SQLite, DuckDB, ClickHouse, and more. The platform combines data exploration, a semantic layer, report generation, report bursting, dashboards, analytics, self-service document portals, and an AI crew. The platform includes a built-in Chat2DB web app for conversational data exploration, where users ask questions in natural language and receive SQL queries, charts, and dashboards. It provides an explore data canvas for building interactive views by dragging tables or cubes, configuring widgets visually, and refining with shared filters. Metrics, dimensions, and joins can be defined once in a semantic layer so every chart, pivot, and dashboard reads from the same source of truth. DataPallas can design pixel-perfect PDF, Excel, HTML, and Word documents from any data source. It can split, route, burst, personalize, and auto-deliver reports to the right people via email, FTP, cloud storage, or document web portals. It also supports building secure self-service portals for employees, customers, and partners, and building a data warehouse with OLTP-to-OLAP sync via CDC powered by DuckDB, ClickHouse, and dbt.
