Clara — Assistente de Crédito Consciente is an educational prototype of a virtual assistant with artificial intelligence designed to explain credit concepts and compare fictitious loan proposals. The project was developed as part of the DIO challenge 'Construa seu Assistente Virtual com Inteligência Artificial'. The assistant helps users understand basic information about loans and financing, such as the Total Effective Cost (CET), interest rates, disbursed amount, number and value of installments, total sum of installments, fees, taxes, and other charges, as well as comparison of fictitious proposals. It features an educational conversation in Portuguese, a knowledge base in Markdown, responses based on registered sources, protection against attempts to reveal internal instructions, refusal to process CPF, passwords, and bank details, refusal to promise credit approval, a deterministic proposal comparator, calculation of the total sum of installments in Python, an alert when the disbursed amounts of proposals are different, a web interface created with Streamlit, and local execution with Ollama and Gemma 3 4B. The project uses Python 3.13, Streamlit, Requests, Ollama, Gemma 3 4B, Markdown, and the Central Bank of Brazil as a reference source.
