Overview

ARIS is an autonomous AI art director, visual synthesizer, and image reasoner implemented in pure Go. It translates natural language intent into model-tailored diffusion workflows, with optional VLM self-correction, masked inpainting, and multiple interfaces. The system provides specialized visual subagents that users can address with @name syntax, such as @director, @promptsmith, @photorealism, @anime, @concept-art, @cyberpunk, @pixelart, @critic, @inpainter, and @restyler. It includes an autonomous prompt architect that deconstructs requests into technical parameters like lighting, composition, lenses, aspect ratios, CFG scales, seeds, and negative triggers. ARIS stores persistent three-scope memory (User, Style, Project) in SQLite with FTS5 full-text search and an auto-learning loop. It supports multiple image backends, including Pollinations.ai, ComfyUI Local, Fal.ai, OpenAI DALL-E 3 & Edits, Replicate, and HuggingFace. An optional vision language model critic can inspect generated images against constraints and automatically refine and re-roll flawed outputs. The product offers image-to-image and masked inpainting, a desktop GUI and remote VPS web interface built with templ, templ-islands, HTMX, and TailwindCSS, and remote messaging gateways for Telegram and Discord. It is distributed as a single standalone Go binary under the MIT License.
