1Presence – AI with memory at scale, layered recall and a vault you own

1Presence is a personal AI assistant that maintains memory across sessions and devices. It remembers conversations, keeps notes, and stores what it learns as plain files in a user-owned vault. The assistant is designed to carry a user's entire history and grow with them over time.

The assistant builds a semantic memory across every conversation, covering projects, preferences, context, and decisions. It uses three types of memory: a vault of markdown documents, a memory map of filed notes, and a knowledge graph linking facts, people, projects, and events. Users can ask what the assistant knows about them, and every fact is traceable to its source.

The vault is a folder of markdown files stored in cloud storage scoped to the user's account. It is portable and compatible with editors like Obsidian, VS Code, iA Writer, or plain TextEdit. 1Presence also connects to email, calendar, files, and over fifteen services including Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, GitHub, Slack, and Microsoft 365, reading context and acting with user approval.
